Welcome to the TEN Digital Mental Health Check-up

Support for health professionals

Healthcare can be a rewarding profession, but it can also be a stressful one. The TEN Digital Mental Health Check-up has been designed to help you identify and overcome challenges to your emotional wellbeing and connect you with evidence-based support.

How does it work?

When you complete the check-up, we’ll send you an assessment report that identifies any symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and burnout you might be experiencing.

The report will help you understand your symptoms and provide you with a range of flexible and evidence-based options for treatment and support.

These include:

  • information and digital resources to help you manage your well-being
  • up to five private telehealth consultations with our expert clinical team
  • links to a range of professional support options to suit your specific needs

You can also use the insights from this report to talk to your GP or mental health professional about your emotional wellbeing. If you are in distress or immediate danger, dial 000 as soon as possible or contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Your privacy matters

We understand that confidentiality is extremely important to health professionals. Resources can be accessed anonymously. TEN is not funded by Medicare. Your interactions with the service won’t be recorded on ‘My Health Record’.

If you’re worried about privacy, AHPRA reporting or anything else, see our FAQs.

Please read our full Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Welcome to the mental health assessment. Let's start by getting to know a little about you.

The following four questions are optional.

Over the last 2 weeks, how often have you been bothered by any of the following problems?

From your last response it sounds as though you are having a particularly difficult time at the moment.

We want to ask you some more questions to get a full picture of what has been happening, but before we do this, we just want to make sure that you know that you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14.

This is an Australian phone number you can use 24 hours a day. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000 immediately.

If you’re not from Australia, here is a link which gives you information about mental health worldwide https://www.iasp.info/resources/Crisis_Centres/

In the last 30 days…

Your responses indicate that you’ve had few concerns about your mental health over the past month – in general, it sounds like you’re feeling okay.

If this is accurate, that’s great news – but it’s still worth thinking about how to maintain your wellbeing into the future. Have a look at the resources under Helping Myself and My Team for some useful tips.

If this is not accurate, that’s okay. Mental health can be complex, which means that sometimes simple questions might not capture your experiences. The next step is to complete our more detailed screening assessments (see below). This will help us gather more details about your emotional wellbeing so we can connect you with the right support.

Your responses indicate that you’ve been having quite a few concerns about your mental health over the past month. It’s really important to explore this in more detail so that we can connect you with the right support.

The next step is to complete our more detailed screening questionnaires (see below). We recommend you complete all five questionnaires before deciding on the treatment or support options that are the best fit. The report is also a great tool to help start a conversation with your GP or health professional.

If you don’t want to complete the questionnaires, head to the Helping Myself and My Team sections for resources or visit Talk to someone to access professional or peer support.
